Andrew P. Kerr Andrew is Managing Director and the Founder of Devonshire Partners, Inc. He has been involved in three industry consolidation (rollup) efforts, including SMATV, interactive media and litigation support. He planned the rollup and completed several of the key acquisitions for one of the companies that now comprise Agency.com. He provided financial consulting services to Blackstone Group and worked with Nikko Securities as sub-advisor on numerous merger and acquisition engagements. He was a principal and helped arrange the financing for Vermeer Technologies, Inc. (Vermeer Technologies, creator of FrontPage, was sold to Microsoft for $138 million less than a year after obtaining venture funding.) Andrew has served as CFO for Interactive Solutions, Inc., Quadris Consulting, Inc. (now Agency.com); Vermeer Technologies, Inc.; Hapco Farms, Inc.; John B. Coleman & Co. and DataCom Systems Corporation. On leave from Devonshire, from June of 1998 to July of 2001, Andrew raised the money for and was President and CFO of Primeon, Inc., a provider of custom development services for large scale "next generation" web sites and web based applications with emphasis on personalization and content management functionality. The firm's market focus was on financial services -- mutual fund, brokerage, commercial banks and insurance companies and the Northeast -- especially the Boston and New York regions. While at Primeon, he was instrumental in the founding of two additional companies, Acentas and eOffshore. Acentas was an ASP offering private-label, turnkey, online insurance sales capabilities to insurance carriers, other financial institutions, and affinity groups. EOffshore is a virtual family of mutual funds operating offshore, offering branded Morningstar rated mutual funds to European investors sold through private bankers. Andrew has worked as turnaround/interim manager, assuming CEO, COO and CFO roles, or as turnaround consultant for some 25 companies in a wide variety of industry settings, including: manufacturing and distribution firms, technology companies and financial institutions. Previously, he worked at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, Inc., where he specialized in corporate finance and merger and acquisition work. He served as CEO of the Housing & Development Administration for the City of New York. He was a principal at SIAR, Inc., a firm specializing in assisting European firms to enter and set up businesses in the United States and U.S. companies to enter and set up businesses in Europe. Andrew has been a member of the board of directors of eight firms--a systems integration firm, two software companies, a UK based information technology company, two cable TV companies, a satellite communications company, a consumer products manufacturing company and a specialty printing company. He is a graduate of Tufts University with a BS in Engineering Science and a graduate of the Harvard Business School with an MBA.
